A unique singing and tones of independence: After a long silent stage due to her father’s dead, Mia Salazar comes back with her band Big Head Troubled Boy and her third record, Yellow, This album is a short compilation of seven tracks that sound a lot noisier than before. Mia Salazar has co-produced the album herself and is the first time she has recorded in Barcelona with a local band.
Big Head Troubled Boy started its career in 2009 releasing Broken. After that, in 2012, along with the jazz trio Guerilla Sound, Big Head published a second album called San Antonio. It is from this album that they have taken the track Stop the Cars to turn it electrical for Yellow. Mia Salazar has been a musician for 15 years and has developed her style as an artist in London. She is a traveller who has written from commercial House for cash to Mexican rancheras to claim her own roots with pride.
